Labyrinth: Breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, breathe out: Advanced Airway Course

This Advanced Airway Course will take you through the labyrinth of managing complicated airways using Taylor's best advice on breathing!  It is composed of several aspects of Airway Management that all focus on helping patients Breathe.  There are several components that can be tailored to the needs of the provider or agency to include:

Ventilation Mechanics - BVM & Intro to Vent

Difficult Intubation - Techniques for Success in Difficult Situations

S.A.L.A.D. (Suction Assisted Laryngoscopy & Airway Decontamination)

RSI (Rapid Sequence Induction) vs. DSI (Delayed Sequence Induction)

Needle and Surgical Cricothyroidotomy

Needle Chest Decompression

Finger Thoracostomy

This is a class for experienced Paramedics who are ready to push their skills beyond the scope of just intubating the patient in cardiac arrest.  These skills will require critical thinking and will be presented in case scenario format with practical application through simulations, performing hands on skills.  We will cover various techniques and tools so that participants have a broad exposure to many different methods.  

Participants will be given the information and hands on practice they need to perform this skill; however, completion of this class does not provide the authority to practice these skills in the field without the approval of your agency's OMD.  I am happy to work with any OMD to incorporate specific agency requirements in order to obtain OMD approval for sign off.
