Can you do it with a broken heart, or do you have Bad Blood?
Meet Rachel Davenport, CFRN: Rachel was a Nurse working in the ICU at the local hospital when I first met her. She told me of her interest in becoming a Flight Nurse and asked what she needed to do to achieve her dream. Soon after, Rachel began volunteering with me at the local volunteer Rescue Squad and obtained her EMT certification in order to gain field experience. She took as many classes and conferences as she could to expand her knowledge and gain experience. Life took Rachel to NC after a couple years where she continued pursuing her goal. Due to our busy lives, we attended different nights of the Eras Tour. I was thrilled to receive a call from Rachel that she had applied for a Flight Nurse position with Med Center Air and was preparing for an interview. I was even more excited when I received the text a couple weeks later that she was going to be starting her Orientation and beginning her new career as a Flight Nurse. I'm so proud of this girl and the hard work she put in to achieve her dream! Below, you will find a picture of Rachel outside the Superdome in New Orleans, LA when she attended The Eras Tour and in front of her aircraft! Please enjoy reading a paper she wrote on Cardiogenic Shock vs. Septic Shock: Can you do it with a broken heart, or do you have Bad Blood? And, because we are all Swifties here - see how many easter eggs you can find!
